50,000 ADDITIONAL PETITIONS NEEDED!

The Center for Reclaiming America for Christ supports this legislation, and is urging Christians to stand with us to EXPOSE AND DEFUND the ACLU.

The Center has already rallied nearly 200,000 citizen petitions and Center Executive Director delivered them to U.S. House leadership just prior to House passage of PERA. Currently, the Center is finalizing plans to present petitions of support to Senate leadership before the close of this legislative session (December 2006). We are calling on team members to help us mobilize an additional 50,000 petition signers. Please help by alerting your friends and family to take action with you on this important issue!

THE "EXPOSE AND DEFUND the ACLU PETITION" STATES:

As a concerned citizen, I am taking a stand against the ACLU's radical agenda, which undermines our nation's moral and religious heritage. I join with citizens across the nation in protest of ACLU policies and actions to strip faith in God from the public square while promoting anti-family and pro-homosexual initiatives. I am calling on leaders in government and media to tell the truth about the ACLU's radical agenda. Furthermore, I demand lawmakers take the necessary steps to eliminate the monetary motives behind the ACLU's campaign to remove all mention of God from the public square. The ACLU does not represent me nor the vast majority of American citizens.

Last Friday, I presented your 'Defund the ACLU' petition to the leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives. Your name was presented among more than 195,000 of our E-Army activists who signed the petition in support of the Public Expression of Religion Act (PERA) -- a bill that seeks to keep the ACLU from exploiting America's taxpayers, as it works to eliminate all evidence of our nation's Christian heritage.

Let me tell you - that number is impressive.

And let me also say that, just yesterday, the House of Representatives voted to pass PERA, 244 to 173.

This is an exciting victory and a clear step in the right direction!

As you know, putting an end to taxpayer funding of the ACLU and its agenda is of paramount importance. However, the Senate will need to take up the bill before it can become law.

For far too long, organizations like the ACLU have used loopholes in the law to threaten expensive court battles, which intimidates communities into surrendering their collective values.

In fact, the ACLU has already collected millions of dollars in attorneys' fees from America's taxpayers as it seeks to erase our precious heritage.
