ACLJ

Today I want to highlight an awesome organization that is doing great things for the Kingdom and this county. That organization is the American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ).

The ACLJ has been instrumental in many of the cases in this country that have raised concerns about the liberties of Christians and other moral citizens.
In fact, during our short history, Sekulow has appeared before the high court on numerous occasions – successfully arguing several precedent-setting cases before the Supreme Court:

  • The free speech rights of pro-life demonstrators were protected.
  • Protected the constitutional rights of religious groups to have equal access to public facilities.
  • Ensured that public school students could form and participate in religious organizations including Bible clubs on campus.
  • Guaranteed that minors could participate in the political process by protecting their free speech rights in the political setting.
The ACLJ is a direct opponent to the ACLU and all it has to stand for. Below is the ACLJ's mission statement as well as a welcome video (dated 5/8/2006) on their site. Take the time to visit their site and become acquainted with how Christians are working within the system.
The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) is committed to insuring the ongoing viability of constitutional freedoms.

By specializing in constitutional law, the ACLJ is dedicated to the concept that freedom and democracy are God-given inalienable rights that must be protected.

The ACLJ engages in litigation, provides legal services, renders advice, counsels clients, provides education, and supports attorneys who are involved in defending the religious and civil liberties of Americans.

As a non-profit organization, the ACLJ does not charge for its services and is dependent upon God and the resources He provides through the time, talent, and gifts of people who share our concerns and desire to protect our religious and constitutional freedoms.

I'm a supporter of both organizations. Unfortunately I believe they both go too far sometimes.

Thanks for the comments, Doug. I appreciate it. If you get the chance to review this take a moment to check out my previous post on the ACLU. I recognize where you're coming from but I honestly believe the ACLU is not fighting for America. God Bless!
